Jack Decker

Director of Finance at Lotus Foods

Jack Decker has over a decade of experience in the finance and operations field. From 2007 to 2009, they were the Head Builder at Mike's Bikes, where they managed warehouse operations, including receipt of bicycles from vendors, assembly, warranty repair, and distribution for the largest bicycle retailer on the West Coast. Jack then worked at Box Dog Bikes from 2009 to 2012 as Co-owner - Finance, managing all elements of finance including AP, cash flows, bank account reconciliation, projections and budgets, year-end and quarterly reporting. Jack created a unique cash-flow management application to map and predict future cash fluctuations and borrowing needs.

From 2012 to 2016, Decker worked at Lotus Foods in various roles. Jack began as Director of Finance, leading finance roles managing all elements of accounting, finance, and IT. Jack interfaced with outsourced accounting team and 3rd party CPA and managed budgeting process cross-functionally with other members of the executive team. Jack then became Director of Finance & Operations, responsible for managing all elements of the Finance and Operations departments, including but not limited to financial statements, annual financial audit, budgeting, QA/QC, procurement, fulfillment, customer service, legal, IP and IT. Jack managed a team of 6 employees, several independent contractors and many 3rd party vendors. Jack also built, implemented and maintained a Microsoft Dynaics GP ERP system. Lastly, they were Manager of Accounting & Forecasting, managing all daily accounting processes and internal financial controls, including monthly and quarterly financial statements and annual financial audit.

In 2016, Decker took on the role of Treasurer at MORAGA GARDENS FARM. Jack also worked as a Consultant for the Marin Economic Forum from 2012 to 2016, working collaboratively to gauge the economic impact of individual homelessness in Marin County. Jack crafted a B2B online survey that assessed the perceived and quantifiable financial impact of homelessness for business owners, commercial property owners, and commercial real estate brokers.

Jack Decker obtained their MBA in Sustainable Enterprise from Dominican University of California in 2012 and their BFA in New Genres from the San Francisco Art Institute in 2007.
