Jeff Whitlatch has a significant amount of work experience in software and firmware engineering. Jeff started their career at Microsoft in 1987 and held various roles, including Senior Software Development Engineer and Technical Account Manager. During their time at Microsoft, they partnered with OEMs on hardware bring-up for new Windows Phone devices, provided debugging and consulting services for Windows on ARM devices, and worked with Asian OEM partners on consulting and commercialization of Microsoft products.

In 2013, they joined Dynon Avionics as a Senior Software Engineer, where they served as the engineering lead on the Dynon D2 pocket EFIS project and worked on the design and implementation of a fully redundant aircraft fuel injected reciprocating engine controller. Jeff also had experience with complex programmable logic devices and development tools.

More recently, in 2015, Jeff Whitlatch joined LOUD Audio, LLC as a Senior Firmware Engineer. In this role, they worked on digital audio mixer firmware and had experience with various microcontrollers such as NXP iMX RT series, Freescale K6x and K2x, STM32F4, Blackfin, Ultimo, and Dante. Jeff'swork at LOUD Audio focused on firmware development for digital audio mixers.

Jeff Whitlatch attended De Anza College from 1974 to 1976, where they studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Afterward, they obtained certifications in Commercial Aircraft Pilot from the Federal Aviation Administration and in Radio Operator from the Federal Communications Commission. There is no information available about their completion of a degree or their enrollment in any further educational institutions, aside from Ryonet Academy whose details are unspecified.
