Helen Stockill has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Helen began their career as a Claims Specialist at Allied Domecq in 1993 and worked there until 1998. Helen then joined Next Retail Ltd as a Claims Manager until 2000, and later became a Customer Service Manager until 2003. Helen also held roles as an Administration Call Centre Manager and Retail Banking Manager at Next Retail Ltd during this time.
In 2007, Helen joined Leicestershire County Council as the Governor Development Service Manager, where they worked until 2017. Helen then moved to Discovery Schools Academy Trust, where they served as the Head of Governance from 2017 to 2022.
From 2021 to the present, Helen has also worked at the Department for Education as a National Leader of Governance. Most recently, they joined Loughborough Schools Foundation in 2022 as the Head of Governance & Corporate Affairs.
Helen Stockill attended St Cenydd Comprehensive School from 1983 to 1990. Helen did not pursue any specific degree or field of study during this time. Subsequently, they attended De Montfort University from 1990 to 1993, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Marketing & Computer Science.
