Emma Bishop

Emma Bishop has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Emma'smost recent role is as the Student Enterprise Manager at Loughborough University, which they started in December 2022. Prior to that, they held various positions at Loughborough Students' Union, including Head of Student Communities, Head of Enterprise & Development, and Student Enterprise Engagement Manager.

Before their time at Loughborough Students' Union, Emma worked at Gaddum & Gaddum as a Design Director from 2001 to 2014. In this role, they were involved in the design, marketing, and development of three subsidiary companies within the organization, including Tempus Clothing Ltd where they served as the design director and was responsible for designing spa uniforms and sourcing fabrics and suppliers.

Prior to Gaddum & Gaddum, Emma worked at Cooper & Roe Ltd as a Knitwear Designer from 1995 to 2001. Here, they designed ladies and men's knitwear for various UK high street brands such as Marks & Spencer, Laura Ashley, and Dunns Store. Emma conducted research, developed garment designs, and regularly presented mood boards to customers.

Emma'searlier experience includes working as a Ladieswear Designer at Jaytone Textiles Ltd from 1994 to 1995, where they designed knits and jersey pieces for UK wholesale and worked with overseas suppliers. Emma also had an internship as a Knitwear Designer Intern at The Ralsey Group Ltd in 1993, where they designed ladies knitwear for US high street brands like The Limited.
