Gabrielwa Dempsey has a diverse work experience. They started their career as a Volunteer Outreach Advisor at NOTTINGHAM LAW SCHOOL LEGAL ADVICE CENTRE LIMITED in September 2016 and worked there until April 2017. From September 2017 to January 2018, they worked as a Customer Service Representative at Express Recruitment. After that, they joined Metropolitan as an Income Officer and also worked as a Customer Service Representative from January 2018 to February 2020. From February 2020 to July 2021, Gabrielwa worked at Metropolitan Thames Valley as a Policy Coordinator and Quality Assurance Auditor. They also served as the Co-chair of the Race Ethnicity Network Group during this time. In February 2023, they transitioned to Ashfield District Council as a Team Leader and later moved to Loughborough Students' Union in June 2023, taking on the role of Head of Student Representation & EDI.
Gabrielwa Dempsey completed a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree with a specialization in International Law from Nottingham Trent University. This education was obtained from 2013 to 2017. In addition, Gabrielwa has obtained several additional certifications. These certifications include "Employee Network Leadership Programme Stage 2" and "Employee Network Leadership Programme Stage 1" from Radius Networks (obtained in September 2022 and January 2022, respectively). Gabrielwa also holds the certification of "AgilePM Practitioner" from APMG International, obtained in July 2020. Furthermore, Gabrielwa is a certified "Mental Health First Aider" from Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England, obtained in April 2019.
