Michel Chapalain has extensive experience in maritime engineering and project management, currently serving as an Ingénieur d'armement / Superintendent at Louis Dreyfus Armateurs since July 2019, overseeing wind farm support and cable-laying vessels. Prior roles include Marine Surveyor and Project Manager at AVELAJ, managing dry dock supervision and refitting navy vessels in Saudi Arabia, as well as a Fleet Manager at V.Ships, overseeing technical and operational management of various vessels for several clients. Earlier experiences include positions at Louis Dreyfus Armateurs and Services et transports, focusing on technical management and maintenance of cruise vessels and other ships. Michel earned a C1NM degree from Ecole nationale Superieure maritime and has pursued further education at Mines Paris - PSL and Lloyds Maritime Academy, alongside various certifications in maritime safety and management.
