Louis-Edouard Widmer and his son Louis-Max Widmer devised this slogan when they set up Louis Widmer SA in September 1960. And yet why did they dedicate their life’s work to the skin? The founders of the company were fascinated by the unique complexity of the largest human organ and its innumerable elementary functions, a fascination that still characterises the entire company today and finds expression again and again in innovative products for the skin.

History has shown that the quality philosophy of Louis Widmer has not lost any of its topicality; the essentials have been preserved over decades.

At the same time, Louis Widmer has consistently used state of the art means to improve quality and allow new findings to be incorporated. The ultimate in quality, maximum possible effectiveness and optimum tolerability by the skin – the original credo is still lived and breathed in Schlieren to this day and facilitates the development of care products that have received awards for Louis Widmer.
