Caroline Duncan

Caroline Duncan has a range of research experience in various institutions. Caroline formerly worked as a Research Assistant at the Louisiana Cancer Research Center since September 2020. Prior to that, they were a Masters Student at Tulane University from August 2019 to May 2020. Caroline also served as a Summer Intern at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in July and August 2018. Moreover, they gained early research exposure as a Summer Research Intern at LSU Health Sciences Center from May to August 2014, where they worked on a project focusing on the correlation between inflammatory single nucleotide polymorphisms and obesity in African American teenage girls. During this internship, Caroline performed DNA extraction, PCR, and microchip assay, and received accolades for their work with a first-place award for their overall research and poster presentation.

Caroline Duncan pursued their education at Tulane University, where they obtained both a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree. From 2015 to 2019, they enrolled in the Biomedical/Medical Engineering program and earned their Bachelor's degree. During the same period, they also pursued a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Tulane University. Later on, in 2019, Caroline furthered their academic journey by pursuing a Master's degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Tulane University, which they successfully completed in 2020.
