Margaret Harmon is an accomplished Local Church Historian and Archivist at Zachary United Methodist Church since October 2008, as well as a member of the Louisiana Conference Commission on Archives and History since June 2017. Margaret served as Past President and current Vice-President of the Zachary Artist Guild from January 2010 to October 2019 and held the position of Past President on the Board of Directors for the Regional Arts Council of Zachary from August 2010 to October 2019. Margaret has experience in community volunteer work with the City of Zachary and served as LCCI Primary Coach for the Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation & Tourism in 2013. Previous professional roles include Vice President of Marketing at Homebuyers Inspections, Inc. and Travel Manager at ALLTEL Corporation, with extensive experience at Ethyl Corporation in Travel & Relocation Management. Margaret holds a BS in Historic Preservation from Southeast Missouri State University and attended LSU in Baton Rouge from 1979 to 1985.
