Amanda Brunson

Amanda Brunson has extensive experience in child welfare and public policy, currently serving as Legislative Liaison and Assistant Secretary of Child Welfare at the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services since October 2021. Prior to this role, Amanda held the position of Director of Women's Policy under Governor John Bel Edwards from January 2019 to October 2021. Amanda's career in child advocacy began at Prevent Child Abuse Louisiana, where multiple roles were undertaken from September 2002 to December 2018, culminating in the position of Executive Director. Amanda holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Family, Child and Consumer Sciences from Louisiana State University.
