Heidi R. Kinchen

Heidi R. Kinchen is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in public communication and legal counsel. Currently serving as the Executive Management Officer in the Bureau of General Counsel at the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services since May 2017, Heidi has previously held various roles in communications at The Advocate, including Press Secretary and Public Information Director. Additionally, experience in journalism includes positions as City Editor and Reporter at the Hammond Daily Star Publishing Company, Inc. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctorate from Tulane University Law School and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Communication and Political Science from Southeastern Louisiana University.
