Rebecca Harris

Rebecca Harris currently serves as Undersecretary at the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services, where responsibilities include overseeing accounting, budget activities, procurement, contract management, data processing, personnel activities, grants management, and facility construction services. Prior to this role, Rebecca held several positions at the Louisiana Department of Health from November 2015 to February 2024, including Medicaid Enterprise Systems Section Chief, where management of Medicaid enrollment and claims processing was key, and Eligibility Program Operations Section Chief, responsible for directing eligibility and financial management. Rebecca began their career as a Program Monitor, assisting with contract development and procurement policies. Rebecca earned a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Louisiana State University from 2000 to 2004.
