Stephanie Gunn Zumo

Stephanie Gunn Zumo is a Coastal Resources Scientist Supervisor with the Louisiana Department of Energy and Natural Resources since October 2013, specializing in the Office of Coastal Management's Mitigation Section. In this role, Stephanie oversees the processing of complex coastal use permit applications, focusing on minimizing and mitigating impacts to wetlands. Previously, Stephanie served as a Coastal Resources Scientist at the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority of Louisiana, managing coastal area studies and restoration project designs. Prior experience includes research at Louisiana State University on plant inventories for national parks and work with the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation on rare plant species protection. Education includes a Master of Science in Botany/Plant Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Austin Peay State University.
