Nicolaus James is an accomplished IT professional with extensive experience in network infrastructure design and administration, currently serving as IT Statewide Program Manager at Louisiana Economic Development since June 2022. Previously, Nicolaus held the position of IT Director at the Louisiana Department of Economic Development from April 2012 to July 2022, managing complex software and hardware systems for various enterprise support needs. With a strong foundation in software and hardware management established through roles as System Administrator/IT Manager and IT Technical Support Specialist III, Nicolaus has developed a robust skill set in IT solutions across multiple agencies since beginning a career in the field at the Baton Rouge Police Department in 2004. Nicolaus holds a Master of Science in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Southern University.
