Brian Canepa Jr.

Brian Canepa Jr. has extensive law enforcement and military experience, currently serving as a Recruiter at St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office since July 2008, where responsibilities include finding and recruiting new deputies. Brian has held multiple positions within the sheriff's office, including Patrol Sergeant, where duties involved supervising patrol shifts, approving reports, and conducting briefings, as well as serving in the Special Investigations Division's Street Crimes Unit. Additionally, Brian serves as a Sergeant First Class and Platoon Sergeant in the Louisiana National Guard, overseeing the operation of a Howitzer Battery and ensuring personnel safety. Past roles also include Staff Sergeant as Chief of the Howitzer Section and providing security for aircraft as part of the Security Forces. Prior to law enforcement, Brian worked as a Delivery Driver for Crescent Crown Distributing, LLC. Educational credentials include a high school diploma from Cy-Fair High School and various law enforcement training programs.
