Jonathan Giardina, C.M., ACE serves as the Properties Supervisor at Louisville Regional Airport Authority since March 2023, where responsibilities include drafting agreements for tenants and managing property transition procedures. Previously, Jonathan worked at Blue Grass Airport from May 2019 to April 2023 in various roles, including Airport Operations Specialist II, ensuring safety, compliance with regulations, and emergency coordination. Jonathan also acted as General Aviation Services Coordinator, overseeing fuel systems and aircraft services. Earlier experience includes an Operations Intern role at Louisville Regional Airport Authority and as a Resident Advisor at Eastern Kentucky University, where support was offered to students to enhance academic performance. Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Science in Aviation from Eastern Kentucky University.
Louisville Regional Airport Authority
The Louisville Regional Airport Authority is an independent public agency governed by an eleven member Board of Directors composed of leading public officials and private citizens. The Authority is primarily responsible for: • planning, constructing, and operating its airports (currently Louisville International Airport and Bowman Field) in a timely and cost effective manner; • enhancing the quality and quantity of air service to Kentucky and southern Indiana; • cooperating with other agencies in economic development initiatives; and • maintaining a close liaison with the surrounding community so as to be sensitive and responsive to the impact of airport operations on airport neighbors. The Authority’s airports serve a large portion of Kentucky and southern Indiana by providing the people and businesses of this region entry into the international air transportation system. As such, these airports are an integral and dynamic element in the economic welfare of the region. Operating for many years on a self-sustaining basis, the Authority pursues its objectives by employing a professional staff and by working closely with the traveling public, various levels of government, the airlines, and a variety of other groups whose goals are to serve the best interests of the community at large.
