Austin Bowling possesses extensive experience in sales, marketing, and sports management. Currently, Austin serves as a Sales Consultant at Bachman Auto Group since April 2016, focusing on customer satisfaction in vehicle sales. Concurrently, Austin manages social media for the Louisville Sports Commission, overseeing the Paul Hornung Award's virtual internship. Austin has a history of officiating basketball at various levels in the KHSAA since 2010 and previously held marketing roles at Fourth Street Live! and Pacers Sports & Entertainment. Austin interned with the Bowling Green Hot Rods and contributed to athletic media relations at Western Kentucky University. Austin holds a Bachelor's degree in Sport and Fitness Administration/Management from Western Kentucky University.

The LSC annually helps attract, support, and host an average of 75 sports events that generate more than $50 million in economic benefits. The LSC owns and operates the Paul Hornung Award; the Louisville Corporate Games; the Louisville Sports Commission Cross Country Classic, one of the largest cross country events in the US; the Derby City Cup cyclocross event; SportsFest; and a three-race fall running series comprised of the Urban Bourbon Half Marathon, the Norton Sports Health Great Pumpkin 10K, and the Louisville pure tap® 5K.
