Stephen C. Diaz

Stephen C. Diaz is the current Senior Vice President at Loureiro Engineering Associates. Stephen has over 20 years of experience in the environmental and engineering industry. Stephen has a proven track record of success in leading teams and managing complex projects.

Stephen started their career at Covanta in 1998 as Vice President of the Northeast Region. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the operations of four plants in Connecticut, four plants in Massachusetts, two plants in western New York, two biomass plants in Maine, five transfer stations, and four landfills. Stephen was successful in exceeding regional performance targets, managing safety and environmental compliance, negotiating contract extension opportunities with clients, and instituting a region-wide cost management program.

In 2013, Stephen left Covanta to join Loureiro Engineering Associates as Senior Vice President. In this role, they are responsible for leading the company’s engineering and environmental services teams. Under Stephen’s leadership, Loureiro Engineering Associates has expanded its portfolio of services to include metals, rail, wind, and LF gas engine projects.

Stephen C. Diaz has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Bridgeport and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from the same school.
