Matthew O'Donovan

Matthew O'Donovan has a diverse range of work experience spanning several industries. Matthew is currently working as the Group Financial Controller at LoveCrafts, a position they started in February 2023. Prior to this, Matthew worked at Erdem from August 2014 to May 2023 as the Head of Finance. In this role, they were responsible for implementing financial structure, reporting, and budgeting, as well as contributing to the strategic planning process. Matthew also served on the board of directors and monitored and reported on the company's financial health. Before joining Erdem, they worked at Kurt Geiger from June 2011 to June 2014, where they held the positions of Senior Management Accountant and Management Accountant. In these roles, they managed month-end and year-end closes, conducted detailed financial reviews, and collaborated with budget holders. Matthew began their career at BDO LLP in September 2005 as a Business Assurance Senior, specializing in retail audits. Matthew prepared work plans, monitored progress, and ensured efficient and budget-compliant work. Prior to BDO LLP, Matthew worked at Wolters Kluwer as an Accounts Assistant from November 2004 to September 2005. Matthew O'Donovan attended the University of Manchester from 2001 to 2004, studying Maths & Physics. In May 2009, they obtained the ACA certification from The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
