Carolina Mesquita

Carolina Mesquita has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Carolina currently serves as the Project Manager for the 'Sustainable Dish' project at Associação Vegetariana Portuguesa, where they are responsible for implementing a nation-wide program aimed at promoting plant-based food choices in public schools. Prior to this, they worked as an Operations Project Manager at LOVESPACE, where they focused on improving operational processes and ensuring data accuracy. Carolina also worked as a Content Writer for SmartFarmer, a project by the NGO Oikos - Cooperação e Desenvolvimento, and as a Sustainability Consultant at Impacteam, where they created and implemented proposals for clients. Additionally, they gained experience as a Portuguese Language Teacher at Lisbon Project by Riverside, promoting the integration of migrants and refugees into the workplace. Carolina has a background in marketing and business development as well, having served as a Product Marketing Manager at Inside Visions and as the Founder of an online shop called overbone, specializing in handmade climbing rope accessories. Overall, Carolina has demonstrated their expertise in project management, sustainability, operations, and marketing throughout their career.

Carolina Mesquita completed their Master's Degree in Studies of the Environment and Sustainability from ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Bsc in Business Administration from Universidade Católica Portuguesa between 2008 and 2012. In 2010-2011, they participated in the Erasmus Exchange Program at Queen Mary University of London.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Carolina has also obtained several certifications. Carolina earned a Google Project Management Professional Certificate from Google Career Certificates in November 2021. In September 2020, they acquired the Climate Reality Leadership Corps certification from The Climate Reality Project. Furthermore, they obtained a certificate in Novas Gerações no Local de Trabalho from VdA Vieira de Almeida in May 2020. In June 2018, they received the Certificate of Distinction - Feeding a Hungry Planet: Agriculture, Nutrition and Sustainability from SDSN Association. Carolina'sother certifications include User Experience: The Beginner’s Guide from Interaction Design Foundation (IDF) in February 2018, ISO 9001:2008 Quality from Qualiwork in November 2013, Microsoft Excel - Advanced from Rumos in September 2012, TOEFL - Test of English as Foreign Language - 110/120 from Educational Testing Service (ETS) in June 2010, and First Certificate in English - Level B2 from the University of Cambridge in May 2008.
