Joshua Coady has extensive work experience in software engineering and development. Joshua started their career in 2000 at Central Washington University, where they developed an Access database with a ColdFusion front-end for the dissemination of Student Evaluations of Instruction. In 2001, they worked at Earth Imaging Associates as a Database Developer and GIS Programmer, where they developed an Access database and front-end for archaeological data and derived additional information using ArcView GIS.
In 2002, Joshua worked as a Web Developer at Spartina.com, where they developed small e-commerce websites using ASP. Net, C#, and SQL Server. Joshua then joined BlackLight Web Design in 2003 as a Software Engineer, developing an intranet website to replace manual work for a mortgage company. Joshua used ASP.Net, C#, and SQL Server for this project.
In the same year, they also started working at LoveToKnow Media as a Software Engineer, where they created a content rating and review system using PHP and MySQL. Joshua also parsed XML output from OCR scans of the 1911 Encyclopedia Britannica to create a website.
In 2006, Joshua joined PageWise, Inc as a Software Engineer, working on dynamic pages, video player, and video processing. Joshua then moved to LoveToKnow Media as the Chief Software Architect, providing technical guidance and development for LoveToKnow's core properties and other ventures.
Finally, Joshua worked at FamilyPass, Inc. (formerly Mentura) as a Senior Software Engineer, developing the website and backend tooling for a family-friendly DVD rental by mail service. Joshua also stabilized and optimized existing websites, web services, and backends written in VB.Net.

Joshua Coady received their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics from Central Washington University. Joshua completed their undergraduate education from 1998 to 2002.
