Kimber Coven Barnes has extensive work experience in human resources, specifically in HR generalist roles and as a benefits administrator. Kimber started their HR career in 2015 as an HR generalist at Community Hospital Grand Junction Colorado. In 2018, they joined Community Hospital as a practice manager before transitioning to a private HR professional role later that year. In 2019, they joined Family Health West as a benefits administrator and HR generalist. Recently, they have taken on the position of Human Resources Director at Family Health West. Kimber's experience spans a variety of healthcare organizations, highlighting their expertise in HR operations and employee benefits management.

Kimber Coven Barnes holds a Master's degree in Organizational Leadership from Colorado Christian University, which they obtained from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General from the same university, completing it between 2015 and 2017.

In terms of certifications, Kimber has attained a Certified Plan Sponsor Professional (CPSP) certification from the Plan Sponsor Council of America in January 2023.
