Gemma Pons Bernad

Gemma Pons Bernad has held a variety of positions in the technology industry since 2000. Gemma began their career as a Stagiaire at Hewlett Packard in 2000. In 2002, they became a Professor at the "Escuela Politécnica de los Estudios de Informática" at Universitat Pompeu Fabra and an R&D Engineer at Laboratories d'Electronique France (LEP). In 2004, they were an R&D Engineer at Thales Communications and an R&D Engineer at Institut National de Recherche en Informatique et en Automatique (INRIA). From 2007 to 2018, they held several positions at Mediapro, including Director of Software Project Management, PhD, Product, Technical and Program Management, and Senior Project Manager, PhD. Since 2018, they have been COO at Scytl Innovating Democracy, and since 2022 they have been COO at Loyal Guru.

Gemma Pons Bernad has a comprehensive education history. Gemma began their studies in 1996 at the Conservatori Liceu, earning a Superior Piano Teacher Degree. In 1996 they also began their studies at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, earning an Enginyer superior in Telecommunications in 2001. Gemma then attended the École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications (ENST) and earned a Master in Image Processing and TV systems in 2002. From 2002 to 2004 they attended the École Normale Supérieure de Cachan, earning an MS Thesis in Mathematics, Vision and Training. Finally, from 2004 to 2007 they attended the Ecole Centrale de Marseille, earning a Phd in Image Processing, Computer Vision.
