Sandra B. Guerra

Dr. Sandra B. Guerra has a diverse work experience in various organizations and positions. Sandra recently worked as the Deputy National Medical Director at Loyal Source Government Services. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Medical Officer at Texas Health Action. Sandra was also a Public Health Consultant and Assistant Medical Director at the City of San Antonio Metropolitan Health District, where they provided executive public health leadership and consultation during the COVID-19 pandemic response. Dr. Guerra also worked as the Chief Medical Officer at Centene Corporation and served as an Executive Consultant for the COVID Response Team at the City of San Antonio Metropolitan Health District. Sandra has extensive experience in the healthcare industry and held the position of Vice President and Chief Medical Officer-TRICARE at Humana Government Business. Additionally, Dr. Guerra worked as a Regional Medical Director at the Texas Department of State Health Services and as a Medical Director at the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District. Dr. Sandra B. Guerra obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Child Development and Family Relationships from The University of Texas at Austin from 1989 to 1993. Sandra then attended Texas A&M University School of Medicine from 1994 to 1998, where they earned their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in Medicine. Dr. Guerra also holds a Master's degree in Public Health from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) School of Public Health. Additionally, they are certified as a Medical Doctor by the Texas Medical Board, obtained in May 2000, and holds a Kentucky Medical License, obtained in January 2020.
