Eileen Matzek is the Regional CIO of Loyola Medicine. Eileen has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare IT industry and has held various executive positions during their career.

Eileen started their career as a software engineer and quickly rose through the ranks to become a Vice President at AMITA Health. In this role, they were responsible for the provision of IT-based applications and field services for a network of more than 19 hospitals and related medical facilities.

During their time at AMITA Health, Eileen made a significant impact on the organization by developing and implementing operational strategies and initiatives that led to the successful implementation of clinical systems. Eileen also provided leadership and governance of clinical information systems to management, which resulted in improved patient care and outcomes.

Eileen’s experience and expertise have made their a valuable asset to Loyola Medicine, where they are currently responsible for leading the IT department and strategy. Under their guidance, the department has made great strides in improving patient care through the use of technology.

Eileen Matzek studied Radiology Technology at DePaul University, before completing a Master of Business Administration at Illinois Benedictine University. Eileen is a Licensed Radiology Technologist, and also holds certifications from the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society and the American Society of Radiologic Technologists.
