Gustavo Leone is a distinguished academic and musician, currently serving as a Professor of Music in the Department of Fine and Performing Arts at Loyola University Chicago since June 2007. Additionally, Gustavo holds the position of Managing Director at the International Latino Cultural Center of Chicago, overseeing the Latino Music Festival, which aims to promote Latin American and Spanish music. With extensive performance experience, Gustavo is a guitarist for ONE L, specializing in classical music played on acoustic and electric guitar. Prior to the current role, Gustavo was a Professor of Composition at Columbia College Chicago from December 1994 to June 2007. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Music Theory and Composition from the University of Chicago, along with a Master of Arts in the same field, a Certificate in Strategies for Nonprofit Management, and a Bachelor’s degree in Composition and Music Education from the Catholic University of Argentina.
