Linuki Gunasekara

Linuki Gunasekara is a Certified Behavioral Technician at Eastside Social Skills Therapy since May 2025, specializing in applied behavioral analysis for young children. Simultaneously, Gunasekara serves as a Mulcahy Scholar and Undergraduate Research Assistant at Loyola University Chicago, contributing to various research projects under Prof. Miguel Ballicora, including work on genetic mutations in Melainabacteria and ADP-Glucose Pyrophosphorylase. Additionally, Gunasekara is a Research Intern at Fred Hutch, focusing on colon cancer research, and holds the position of Chapter Public Relations Chair for Loyola University's Red Cross chapter. Previous experiences include internships with Asiri Health and the Illinois Institute of Technology, a freelance role with the US-Sri Lankan Embassy, and work as a paraprofessional with HeyTutor, showcasing a commitment to healthcare and education. Linuki Gunasekara is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Loyola University Chicago.
