Melody Spann-Cooper serves as a Board Trustee at Loyola University Chicago and a Board Member for the Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network. Since January 2019, Spann-Cooper has been a Commissioner for the Illinois Liquor Commission. Additionally, Spann-Cooper co-chairs the Diversity and Inclusion Council at the Obama Foundation and is a co-founder of Color Us Women. Other leadership roles include being a member of the Executive Committee at the Business Leadership Council, a Past Chair of the Illinois Broadcasting Association, a Trustee at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, and a Board Member of the National Association of Black Owned Broadcasters.
