Sam Hammett

Sam Hammett, LSW, serves as a Violence Prevention and Advocacy Specialist at Loyola University Chicago since May 2023, following roles at Indiana University Bloomington from June 2019 to April 2023, including Assistant Director for Sexual Violence Prevention and Confidential Victim Advocate. Prior experience includes working as a PRN Social Worker at WellSpan Health and a Palliative Care Social Work Intern at UI Health, where responsibilities involved collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to address patient needs and facilitate safe discharges. Sam began the professional journey as a Graduate Assistant for Gender-Based Violence Prevention and Response at Loyola University Chicago and completed an Oncology Social Work Internship at Northwestern Medicine. Educational achievements include a Master of Social Work from Loyola University Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Frostburg State University.
