John McAfee

John McAfee is an experienced Production Manager and Lighting Designer with a diverse background in the performing arts. Currently serving as Production Manager at Loyola University Maryland since February 2021, John has extensive freelance experience in lighting design for dance in Baltimore since March 2008. Previously, John was the Technical Director and Resident Lighting Designer at Bowie State University, overseeing the technical aspects of the Fine and Performing Arts Center and teaching Stagecraft. Additional roles include Production Manager/Technical Director at Theatre Project and Technical Director at Washington Shakespeare Company. John holds a Master of Fine Arts in Dance Design and Production from Saint Mary's College of California and a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Theatre from the College of William and Mary.
