Charles Howell has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Charles started their career in 1989 as an Assistant Marketing Manager at IMPRO Company Limited, where they were responsible for developing marketing materials and providing ESL classes. Charles then transitioned to Metropolitan Community College Omaha as an Adjunct Instructor in 1998 and taught business, economics, and information technology courses until 2015. In 2016, they became the President of CBH4 Business Solutions and also pursued a PhD in Business at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, where they conducted research until 2020. During this time, they also served as a Visiting Researcher at Loughborough University School of Business and Economics. From 2016 to 2021, Charles worked at Lozier Corporation, holding various roles such as Senior Pricing Strategy Analyst and Pricing and Product Strategy Manager. Charles is currently the Director of Customer Experience Systems and Strategy at Lozier Corporation. Additionally, they have been an Adjunct Professor at the University of Nebraska at Omaha since 2021.

Charles Howell's education history begins with their bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Michigan, which they obtained from 1985 to 1989. Charles then pursued further education by earning a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business from the University of Nebraska at Omaha between 1995 and 1998. Some years later, from 2012 to 2015, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) in Economics from the same institution. Continuing their academic journey, Howell completed a Master's degree in Business/Managerial Economics at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona from 2016 to 2017. Finally, they pursued a doctorate degree and was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics Management and Organization (DEMO) from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, where they studied from 2017 to 2020.
