James Magee, MBA, CISSP-ISSEP, ISSMP, CCSP has extensive work experience in the field of Information Systems Security Engineering. James currently holds the position of Senior Information Systems Security Engineer at LP3 (Lightspeed - Produce, Protect, Perform) since February 2016. Before that, they worked as the Sr. Security Engineer at Marble Mountain OC, LLC from February 2015 to February 2016. Prior to these roles, James worked at Booz Allen Hamilton as an Associate from September 2007 to January 2015, where they provided Information Security Engineering services to multiple agencies and played a key role in the transition from DCID 6/3 to ICD 503 A&A processes. James Magee pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Lehigh University from 1978 to 1982. James then went on to obtain a Master of Science in Information Systems and an MBA from The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School between 1998 and 2009. As for certifications, James holds a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)², which they obtained in April 2009. In 2012, they also acquired the Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (CISSP-ISSEP) and the Information Systems Security Management Professional (CISSP-ISSMP) certifications, both from (ISC)². Later, in February 2015, they obtained the Security + ce certification from Comp Tia. James further enhanced their credentials by obtaining the Splunk Certified Power User certification from Splunk in October 2016. James recently acquired the Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) certification from (ISC)² in 2021.
