Harshda Prasad has a diverse range of work experience in the field of structural engineering. Harshda is currently the President of the Structural Engineering Association of San Diego, a position they have held since August 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the Vice President from July 2022 to August 2023 and the Treasurer from July 2020 to July 2022.

Within the company LPA, Inc., Harshda has held several positions. Harshda is currently the Managing Director of Structural Engineering, a role they have held since January 2023. Before this, they were an Associate, leading LPA's structural engineering practice in San Diego and overseeing major projects in civic, education, life science, and biotech sectors. Harshda also served as a Senior Structural Project Manager from October 2020 to February 2023.

Before joining LPA, Inc., Harshda worked at HTK Structural Engineers as an Associate from January 2017 to October 2020. Prior to that, they were a Senior Project Engineer at Saiful Bouquet Structural Engineers Inc. from August 2014 to January 2017. Harshda gained extensive experience in designing commercial, K-12, and Community College structures, as well as expertise in seismic retrofit and rehab of structures using ASCE 41.

Harshda's earlier work experience includes positions at Hope-Amundson, Inc. as a Project Engineer/Manager from May 2013 to August 2014, Rutherford & Chekene as a Senior Structural Design Engineer from November 2011 to May 2013, Thornton Tomasetti as a Senior Engineer from January 2009 to December 2011, and Walter P Moore as a Graduate Engineer from July 2006 to December 2008. At Walter P Moore, they worked on notable projects such as the Dallas Cowboys Stadium and the Edward Jones Dome.

Additionally, Harshda started their career as an Intern at CP&Y, Inc. from January 2006 to May 2006. Harshda also served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Texas at Austin from August 2004 to May 2006.

Harshda Prasad pursued their undergraduate education from 2000 to 2004 at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Structural Engineering. Following this, they furthered their education by completing a Master of Science (MS) degree in Structural Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, from 2004 to 2006.
