Xiayi (Sam) Sun, P.E. is a seasoned project engineer with extensive experience in civil and environmental engineering. Currently, at LPA, Inc. since May 2022, Xiayi has played a key role in over 20 land development projects, focusing on design and technical specifications for construction plans, as well as performing hydrology and hydraulic studies. Prior to this role, Xiayi served as a civil engineer at VCA Engineers, Inc., where responsibilities included stormwater management design and coordination with government agencies. Previous positions include environmental engineering internships and roles at various organizations, such as the State Water Resources Control Board and US-China Clean Tech Center, contributing to projects focused on environmental assessments, water quality, and regulatory compliance. Xiayi holds a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering from UC Irvine and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering Technology from Nanjing University of Science and Technology.
