Steven Powers

Steven Powers has extensive experience in governance, technology risk management, and security within the financial sector. At LPL Financial, Powers served as Governance Lead for the 1st Line Technology Department, overseeing compliance with Enterprise Level Principles and identifying oversight gaps. Prior roles included Manager (VP) of Product and Business Security and Principal (VP) BISO, where Powers led teams in security awareness, consulting, and technology risk review while effectively communicating security maturity solutions. Prior to LPL Financial, Powers held managerial and auditing positions at Wells Fargo, Piedmont Natural Gas, and KPMG. Powers holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the University of Virginia, concentrating in Accounting and Information Technology.
