Derek Calvert

Derek Calvert has extensive experience in athletic training, currently serving as the Sr. Associate Director of Athletic Training Operations and previously as an Associate Athletic Trainer at Louisiana State University since January 2014. Prior to this role, Derek worked at Vincera Institute as an Athletic Trainer/Medical Assistant from June 2013 to January 2014, and as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at LSU from May 2011 to May 2013. Derek's career began with a position as a Seasonal Assistant Athletic Trainer for Minnesota Vikings Football, LLC from April 2009 to March 2011. Derek holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, completed in 2009, and furthered education at Louisiana State University from 2011 to 2013.
