Laura Dean has had a diverse range of work experiences. Laura is currently serving as the Director of Global Partnerships at Louisiana State University since November 2022. Prior to this role, they held the position of Director of International Student Engagement at LSU from July 2021 to November 2022. Before joining Louisiana State University, Laura worked as an Intercultural Programs Coordinator at Florida State University - Center for Global Engagement from August 2017 to June 2021. Laura also served as a Graduate Assistant at the Office of International Students and Scholars at Lehigh University from June 2015 to May 2017. In addition, Laura has experience as a Study Abroad Trip Leader at the Global Citizenship Program at Lehigh University from December 2016 to January 2017. Laura gained valuable customer service experience as a Box Office Sales Work Study at PlayMakers Repertory Company from August 2011 to May 2015. Laura also volunteered as a Summer Camp Counselor at Camp Wayne For Girls in June 2014. Lastly, they served as an Operations Manager for the 1 Malaysia International Congress for Sports and Exercise Medicines in June and July 2013.
Laura Dean's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, obtained between 2011 and 2015. Laura then pursued a Master of Education degree in International and Comparative Education from Lehigh University, completing it between 2015 and 2017. Recently, Laura graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Educational Leadership & Research, specializing in Higher Education Administration, from Louisiana State University in 2027.
