Terri L Smith

Terri L. Smith is an accomplished educational leader with extensive experience in founding and managing educational organizations and programs. As the Founder and CEO of ENCORE Academy since March 2012 and ENCORE Learning Solutions since July 2010, Terri has provided consulting services focused on charter school development, governance, and academic achievement. Currently pursuing a PhD in Educational Leadership at Louisiana State University, experience includes serving as Chief Academic Officer for the Algiers Charter Schools Association, overseeing academic programs for nine schools and leading significant educational reforms. Other roles include Director of Achievement at ADVANCE Baton Rouge Charter School Association, Achievement Vice President at Edison Schools, and teaching positions that range from fifth grade to sixth grade mathematics. Terri holds multiple degrees in education, including a PhD from LSU and an MS from Nazareth University.
