Associate Professor, School Of Architecture/associate Director, LSU Coastal Sustainability Studio at LSU

Traci Birch, PhD, AICP, serves as an Associate Professor at Louisiana State University within the School of Architecture and holds the position of Associate Director at the LSU Coastal Sustainability Studio since June 2015. Concurrently, Traci Birch is an Instructor at the University of New Orleans, teaching coastal and environmental planning since August 2012. Prior to these roles, Traci Birch was an Assistant Professor at East Carolina University from August 2013 to August 2015 and worked as a Managing Partner at The Verdant Group from January 2011 to May 2015. Additional experience includes serving as a Consulting Planner at Villavaso and Associates from May 2003 to July 2014, Director at Monumental Task Committee, Inc. from 2010 to August 2013, and as Assistant Director of the Recovery Support Branch at the Federal Emergency Management Agency from November 2005 to September 2008. Traci Birch earned a PhD in Environmental and Land Use Planning from the University of New Orleans, along with a Master of Urban and Regional Planning and a BA in Graphic Design and Media Production from Baldwin Wallace University.
