Tuomas Mäkipeska

Tuomas Mäkipeska is the current VP of Facility Services Finland at Lassila & Tikanoja. Tuomas has been with the company since February 2012, and in their current role, they are responsible for leading the Facility Services division and CEO of L&T Siivous Ltd, L&T Kiinteistöhuolto Ltd, Kiinteistötekniikka Ltd.

Under Mäkipeska's leadership, the division has performed a rapid turnaround, improving EBIT by 7M€ from red to black in 2020. Tuomas has also defined a 5-year growth strategy including Must Win Battles to ensure robust implementation. Additionally, they have renewed the management system, reorganized the division, appointed new leadership team and initiated cultural change to increase performance and support strategy implementation.

Mäkipeska has also generated significant organic growth by new service innovations, winning new customers, growing customer contract portfolio and boosting add-on services sales. Tuomas has also lifted both employee experience (eNPS) and customer experience (NPS) of the division to unprecedented levels by leading and inspiring the personnel and building commitment to major clients.

The educational career for Tuomas Mäkipeska includes a M.Sc. in Management Accounting, International Business, Leadership and Organization, German language from HSE, Helsinki School of Economics.

Tuomas Mäkipeska reports to Eero Hautaniemi, President & CEO. They are on a team with Teemu Kangas-Kärki - Board Member, Hilppa Rautpalo - Director of Human Resources, and Jorma Mikkonen - Director, Corporate Relations and Responsibility.
