Franka Tomassen

Franka Tomassen has an extensive background in agricultural management and governance. Currently serving as a member of the General Board at Waterschap Rivierenland and as a board member for both LTO Noord and Agrarische natuurvereniging Lingestreek, Franka has been involved in various agricultural initiatives since February 2022. Franka is also the owner of Boerderij Opneij, managing a farm with approximately 100 cows and calves since 2006. Previous roles include inspector at the Nederlandse Voedsel- en Warenautoriteit, project manager at Motivaction International BV, and researcher in agricultural business economics at Wageningen University. Franka holds an Ir. degree in Agricultural Economics from Wageningen University & Research, completed in 1996.
