LTO Noord

‘Perspectives for Agricultural Entrepreneurs’ is the motto of LTO Noord, the agricultural and horticultural organisation that defends the collective and individual interests of agricultural entrepreneurs in the nine Dutch provinces north of the country’s major rivers: Groningen, Drenthe, Fryslân, Flevoland, Utrecht, Gelderland, Overijssel, Noord-Holland and Zuid-Holland. Thanks to its local offices LTO Noord is able to operate in close proximity to its members and with a thorough perception of local conditions. The organisation has two core tasks that complement and reinforce each other. The first core task is to promote our members’ collective interests at the local, regional, national and international levels, with the aim of reinforcing the economic and social position of farmers and horticulturists. Our members, our democratic structure and hundreds of expert and result-oriented administrators safeguard LTO Noord’s position as a strong, independent, self-confident and dependable conversation partner for government authorities, market parties and social organisations alike. Our second core task is to facilitate the entrepreneurship and craftsmanship of all agriculturists affiliated with the organisation. Thanks to our independent units LTO Noord Projects, LTO Real Estate, LTO Noord Insurance and our strategic alliances with LTO Noord Consultancy, GVK Agro Lawyers and Adure Lawyers, we are able to offer our members a wide range of products and services. Together with the Southern Agricultural and Horticultural Organisation (ZLTO) and the Limburg Provincial Agricultural and Horticultural Organisation (LLTB), LTO Noord forms part of the national umbrella organisation LTO Nederland.
