Sutapa Baksi, MS, CQA, is a seasoned quality assurance professional with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist at LTS - Lohmann Therapy Systems since September 2013, Sutapa is responsible for reviewing and finalizing the release of prescription drug product batch records while addressing documentation errors and compliance issues. Previously, Sutapa spent seven years at Pfizer, where contributions included validating analytical methods for vaccine components and playing a key role in the successful launch of Prevnar-13. Additional experience includes promoting Six Sigma and Kaizen principles, supporting FDA and EMEA inspections, and conducting research at New York Medical College on cardiomyocyte regeneration and genetic factors related to hypertension. Sutapa holds a Master's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from New York Medical College and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from St. Thomas Aquinas College, graduating Magna Cum Laude.

LTS Corp is the US-based subsidiary of Lohmann Therapie Systeme whose headquarters are in Andernach, Germany. LTS’s research and development focuses on two new technologies to complement and expand the potential of alternative drug delivery systems. In addition to the development of LTS Transdermal and LTS Oral Thin Film technologies, the company also develops innovative microneedle and the ‘active LTS Transdermal’ technology. LTS Microneedles that are long enough to penetrate the outer layer of skin but too short to irritate nerves and blood vessels. They can be used to inject active substances with larger molecules into the skin, an application that is largely pain-free. Microneedles create tiny holes in the outermost layer of skin, which significantly increases the rate at which the active substance is absorbed. LTS is currently researching a number of different microneedles made from different materials and with different gauges, designs and sizes for a wide range of applications.
