Marco Rauer has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Marco began their career in 1996 as an employee in the field service at Allianz Versicherungs AG. In 2003, they joined webEdition Software GmbH as the Director of Marketing/PR, where they worked until 2006. Marco then moved on to 1&1 Internet AG as a Key Account Manager in Online Marketing, before transitioning to L´TUR Tourismus AG as the Head of Online Marketing from 2007 to 2011. Marco then served as the Head of Marketing at Across Systems GmbH from 2011 to 2013. Marco rejoined 1&1 Internet AG in 2013 as a Senior Sales Analyst and later became the Head of SMB Sales. Marco's most recent position is with HLX Touristik GmbH, where they held the role of Leiter Online Marketing from 2014 to 2018. Marco is currently employed as the Head of Online-Marketing & Partner-Management at l'tur GmbH.
Marco Rauer attended Pforzheim University from 1999 to 2003, where they studied BWL, Marketing-Kommunikation, Werbepsychologie, Recht, Statistik, and Marktforschung. Marco obtained their degree in 2003. Prior to their university education, from 1994 to 1996, Marco worked at Allianz Versicherungs AG as a Versicherungskaufmann/ Finanzassistent. In this role, they focused on studying Versicherungswesen, Steuerrecht, Englisch, and BWL. Additionally, Marco has obtained several certifications including Inbound Certified from HubSpot Academy in November 2020, Google Campaign Manager from Google Digital Academy (Skillshop) in October 2020, Google Analytics Individual Qualification (GAIQ) from Google Digital Academy (Skillshop) in April 2020, and awin certified Partner from Awin Global in November 2018.
