Michael Garcia

Michael Garcia is a highly skilled healthcare professional and law enforcement officer with extensive experience in nursing and military service. Currently serving as a Deputy Sheriff (Reservist) for Lubbock County since December 2021, Michael also holds multiple roles at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, including Nurse Practitioner in the Department of Surgery and Faculty Associate in the School of Medicine. With a background in critical care nursing at UMC Health System and a military career as a Captain in the Texas Military Department, Michael has demonstrated leadership and clinical expertise throughout the years. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, along with TCOLE certification from the South Plains Association of Governments Regional Law Enforcement Academy.
