David Hobson

David Hobson has over two decades of experience in the lubricants industry, currently serving as Technology Manager for Industrial Additives at The Lubrizol Corporation since March 2001. David has led various strategic initiatives, including SWOT analysis and the development of technical roadmaps, while also providing critical direction for commercial and OEM strategies. Recognized for expertise in lubricant formulation and technical customer engagement, David has successfully managed complex product pipelines across marine and industrial sectors. Previous roles included Global Technical Manager for Marine Engine Lubricants and Global Technical Project Manager, where David strengthened customer relationships and improved profitability through innovative product development and effective project management. David began the career in development chemistry with Houghton Plc and Croda Application Chemicals, following a First-Class Chemistry degree from Loughborough University.
