Girish Rao

Girish Rao began their work experience as a Consultant at The Registry Inc in 1994. Girish then joined The Lubrizol Corporation in 1997 as a Technology Architect, where they evaluated new technologies and implemented them based on business needs. In 2004, Girish led the Mergers and Acquisitions Integration team at Lubrizol, overseeing the integration of multiple large acquisitions. From 2006 to 2008, they served as the IS Manager for Asia Pacific. In 2009, Girish transitioned into the role of Mobility, Innovation, and Business Solutions Enterprise Architecture. Girish later became an IS Partner, working on new capabilities, operational efficiencies, and technology leadership. In 2018, Girish became the Leader of Digital Studio at Lubrizol, leading AI and cognitive efforts to deliver results in various areas. Girish then took on the role of Director of Information Solutions in 2020 before becoming the Senior Director of Data, Enterprise Architecture & Partnerships (CTO) in 2021.

Girish Rao has an Executive MBA degree in Strategy, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Finance from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, obtained from 2004 to 2006. Girish also holds a Master of Science degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from The Ohio State University, completed in 1995. In addition, they have a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Instrumentation Technology from the University of Mysore, which they obtained between 1987 and 1991. Girish Rao has also obtained the certification in Diversity and Inclusion in a Global Enterprise from LinkedIn, although the specific month is not provided and the certification was obtained in 2021.
