Johane Mchive

Mr. Mchive is a mining engineer, holding a BSc Hons Degree, with just over 20 years of extensive experience in mining. Prior to his appointment as the General Manager of the Karowe Mine in 2017, he had served as the Assistant General Manager of Debswana’s Orapa and Letlhakane Mines on a temporary appointment basis. Mr. Mchive has the unique experience of having started a mine from a Greenfield project to a steady state mining entity, as he is the first Mine Manager for the Karowe Mine. He has participated and led Management and Mining Workers Union Consultative and Negotiation Committees and has served as a Management Spokesperson.
