Matthew Delaney

Matthew Delaney is an experienced photonics professional currently serving as a Luceda Application Engineer consultant at Luceda Photonics since January 2023, focusing on application engineering, support, and training within the UK. Matthew runs an integrated photonics consultancy, MD Photonic consulting, providing component simulations, circuit design, and fabrication support. Previously, Matthew worked as a Photonics Engineer at Chromosol Ltd, responsible for photonic chip design and characterization, and completed a PhD at the University of Southampton, developing a new phase change material for photonic circuits. Matthew also has experience from internships at Amec Foster Wheeler and the National Physical Laboratory, and served as a lifeguard during university holidays. Matthew holds a Master's Degree in Physics from the University of Southampton.
