Sam Rad is currently the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Research Scientist at LifeFoundry, Inc., where they manage daily operations and lead the R&D team in contract research and technology development. They co-founded LifeFoundry in 2016, where they have driven innovation at the intersection of AI, automation, and synthetic biology. Previously, Sam served as a Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, focusing on software and programming related to machine learning and CRISPR/Cas technologies. They have also held roles as the Vice President of Operations at Lucence and as the Business Advisor and Director at Celebrace, where they provided strategic business insights and support. Additionally, as the Founding Chief Business Officer at BRIUS®, Sam led significant business strategy initiatives and fundraising efforts.
